The Politics Department at the University of Dallas invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning fall 2024.

The department seeks a candidate either (1) whose primary expertise is in the history of political thought, but who also has a strong background and teaching ability in at least one other subfield of political science; or (2) whose primary expertise is in American Politics, but who also has a strong background and teaching ability in the history of political thought. A PhD is required. The teaching load is three courses per semester, Fall and Spring.

  1. a letter of interest clearly indicating the primary and secondary teaching
    field(s);
  2. a curriculum vitae detailing all academic and professional experience (references will be requested from candidates invited for an interview);
  3. graduate transcripts;
  4. at least three letters of recommendation;
  5. teaching evaluations and course syllabi;
  6. and one or more writing samples.
