Higher Education Programs

The Jack Miller Center conducts educational programming for undergraduates, advanced graduate students, postdocs, and faculty to further the teaching of American political thought and history on campuses. Our flagship programs include seminars from leading scholars, summer institutes, publishing workshops with editors from university presses, annual summits, and other professional development opportunities.

Fellowships & Grants

In partnership with leading educational institutions and our donor partners, the Jack Miller Center offers educational funding to a variety of university fellowship programs for young scholars. These teaching positions include postdoctoral fellowships at some of America’s foremost colleges and universities, as well as research fellowships at some of our nation’s most prestigious libraries.

Academic Partner Programs

The Jack Miller Center provides on-campus program support through our academic partner programs and regional campus partnerships, such as the Chicago Initiative. Activities include conferences, speaker series, and curriculum support. Each year, partner faculty meet with university presidents and other administrators for discussion and educational support at our National Summit on Higher Education.

High School Programs

The Founding Civics Initiative aims to ensure our nation’s high school students receive a much-needed foundation in the history and principles that formed our nation—a foundation that will prepare them for their responsibilities as citizens. Through seminars, graduate courses, and summer programs led by scholars of American history and political thought, Founding Civics helps teachers deepen their understanding of the central texts and ideas of the American Founding.
