Apply Now: Tritsch Postdoctoral Fellowship at Miami University

 

Miami University invites applications for a full-time, one-year Tritsch Postdoctoral Fellowship in the discipline of American politics.

This position is intended to advance undergraduate education in America’s history, its political and economic institutions, and the central principles, ideas, and issues arising from the American and Western traditions which continue to animate our national life.

During the twelve-month appointment, the Tritsch Fellow will teach one course per term, including (1) an introductory course on American Government in the Fall semester, and (2) a course related to the research expertise of the Fellow in the Spring semester; as well as develop and deliver a Jack Miller Center Founding Civics Summer Institute event dedicated to American political thought in the Summer of 2024 for middle school and high school civics teachers.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in political science or a closely related field earned by the date of appointment. Applicants must intend to pursue an academic career in which he or she will advance student learning about American government and political institutions.

No award may be made to a scholar who has previously received a postdoctoral fellowship funded in part or in full by the Jack Miller Center and/or received a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from Miami University.
