University of Colorado-Colorado Springs:  Assistant Professor of American Politics

 

The Department of Political Science at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs seeks applications for a position at the Rank of Assistant Professor in American Politics beginning August 2024.

Successful candidates will have research and teaching interests in one or more of the following areas: American Institutions, Constitutionalism, American Political Development, and American Political Thought. The successful candidate will be required to teach the program’s introductory course in American Politics. A Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field is required at the time of appointment. Candidates from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field is required at the time of appointment.

Please note that while the position details include both required qualifications as well as preferred qualifications, the department wants applicants to be aware that they do not need to have all of the desired skills and experience to be considered for this position. If you meet the minimum qualifications, have passion for the work, along with experience in a related field, you are encouraged to apply. The department encourages on-the-job training for any additional skills or knowledge that become relevant to the position.

The potential employee start date is August 19, 2024 (Fall 2024).
