American Political Thought

A Journal of Ideas, Institutions, and Culture

In 2012, The University of Chicago Press and the Jack Miller Center launched the journal, American Political Thought: A Journal of Ideas, Institutions and Culture, the only peer-reviewed academic journal exclusively devoted to its subject.

With a great many quality submissions and an impressive backlog, the journal moved from a twice-yearly to a quarterly publication in 2015.

This multidisciplinary journal provides a much-needed venue for scholars interested in works and themes around American political thought. Professor Jeremy Bailey, of the University of Houston, and Professor Susan McWilliams Barndt, of Pomona College, serve as its editors.
