Stephen Matter

Stephen Matter is a research assistant at the Jack Miller Center and for the Hoover Institute’s Peter Berkowitz as a second year Public Interest Fellow.

He formerly served as the managing editor for the Western Tribune. Before that he was a Policy Advocate for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, and the Assistant to the Senior Director and Director of the Center for Constitutional Design at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

He holds two four year degrees in Political Science and Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership from Barrett, The Honors College, at Arizona State University where he studied political science, political theory, and constitutional law. 

Stephen has previously been selected to a few highly competitive programs with the Hudson Institute and the Hertog Institute.

He is an Arizona native.
