Lauren Altobelli
Director of the Founding Civics Initiative
Lauren Altobelli directs the Founding Civics Initiative, the Jack Miller Center’s effort to provide content-based professional development and classroom resources to K-12 civics, history, and government teachers across the country.
Lauren manages Founding Civics operations and communications, oversees Founding Civics program development, and works with professors in the JMC network to strengthen K-12 teachers’ understanding of founding documents and ideas. She is also involved in the planning and execution of the National Summit on Civic Education.
Lauren holds a B.A. and M.A. in political science from Villanova University, where she studied the political thought of the American founding.
