Mark is the Strategic Accounts Exec, US Air & Space Forces for Red Hat, Inc. General Dillon is also the President of Mark C Dillon, LLC where he serves on three not-for-profit boards and is a member of the Jack Miller Center’s National Civics Council. He has served on the State of Hawaii Public Charter School Commission and has advised Hillsdale College’s Barney Charter School Initiative.
General Dillon retired from the US Air Force in 2017 after 33 years of service. His final assignment was Deputy Joint Force Air Component Commander US INDO-PACOM & Deputy Commander of Pacific Air Forces, in Honolulu Hawaii. In these two roles he was responsible for the integrated air and missile defense across the INDO-PACOM theater as well as organizing, training and equipping the 46,000 Airmen at nine (9) installations in Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, South Korea & Guam.
Mark began his military career as a systems engineer on the Space Shuttle program then became a USAF pilot and accumulated more than 3,500 hours in the KC-10A, C-5, C-17A, C-130J and KC-135. He has commanded two flying squadrons, a flying training group, and two of the Air Forces largest flying wings.
General Dillon is a graduate of Air Command and Staff College, Air War College and the Joint Forces Staff College. He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University, a Masters degree from Embry-Riddle University, and a Masters degree in National Strategic Studies from Air University. Mark and his wife reside in Manassas, Virginia.
