Jon K. Lauck

Former President of the Midwestern History Association; Editor-in-Chief of Middle West Review; Executive Director of the Center for Western Studies, Augustana University

Jon K. Lauck is a native of rural Madison, South Dakota. He is the author of books including The Lost Region and The Good Country: A History of the American Midwest.

Lauck has worked as a lawyer, professor, and political advisor and now serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Western Studies at Augustana University and as Editor-in-Chief of Middle West Review.

He is also the founding president of the Midwestern History Association and currently serves as president of the Society for the Study of Midwestern Literature.
