David Mathus

David Mathus has over 25 years of legal experience at leading national law firms representing major investment banks, private companies, business owners and other high net worth individuals.  He also has experience advising non-profit organizations.  Until 2020, he was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery, where he served as Co-Head of Corporate & Transactions Group in the New York City office.

He has advised clients on a wide range of legal matters and strategy, including corporate, securities, commercial, contract and regulatory matters, as well as commercial and other disputes and related investigations.  He has advised leading investment banks on renewable energy project investments (solar, wind and fuel cell), as well as on structured lending and other transactions.  He has advised companies and business owners on joint ventures, commercial contracts, technology development and licensing deals, acquisitions and other matters.  

From 2020-2023, he founded and led PredictIntel LLC, a data and analytics company which developed the first forward-looking business intelligence platform tracking corporate and government projects, plans, commitments and other forward activity, including key regulatory deadlines. 

Mr. Mathus brings to client matters a perspective informed by extensive legal, management and operational experience.

Mr. Mathus is a member of the New York and Connecticut Bars.  In New York City, he serves on the Public Affairs Committee of The Union League Club, where he served as President from 2013-2015.  In Connecticut, he serves on several non-profit Boards, including the Board of Trustees of Salisbury School.  He also serves on the National Civics Council of the Jack Miller Center, which promotes education in America’s founding principles and history.  He is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and Wake Forest University School of Law.
