Thomas Pope is a Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for Responsible Citizenship at Lee University.
He teaches extensively in Political Philosophy and Constitutional Law. His work with the Center for Responsible Citizenship looks to promote charitable discourse and civic virtue within local communities. His scholarship explores the abiding impact of Thomas Hobbes’ social contract theory on modern life.
Pope holds a B.A. in Government and Philosophy from Berry College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Baylor University.
