Teacher Institute at Lee University: Institutional Rivalry between the Presidency & Congress
The Center for Responsible Citizenship at Lee University, with the support of the Jack Miller Center, is hosting its annual three-day Founding Civics Institute for middle and high school social studies teachers in Tennessee.
This year’s program will focus on the Constitutional relationship between the Executive and Legislative branches. Sessions will be led by Lee University Professors Thomas Pope and Mark Scully and will cover primary sources from thinkers such as Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Theodore Roosevelt.
Participants will receive a $300 stipend upon completion of the program.
