Over the years, the race has collected a variety of traditions, including mint juleps, enormous rose garlands, and fancy hats for lady spectators. ๐Ÿฅƒ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ‘’

Only 13 horses have won the Triple Crown, the latest being Justify in 2018.

Did you know? The founder of the Derby, Meriwether Lewis Clark Jr., was the grandson of William Clark (yes, the William Clark of the Lewis and Clark expedition).
