Samford: Plato, Aristotle, and Madison on Democracy: Anarchy, Polity, and the Constitutional Republic

Kirk Fitzpatrick is a philosophy and Greek professor at Southern Utah University. His recent publications focus on politics and the arts in Plato’s Republic. Fitzpatrick is currently writing a monograph on ancient philosophy for Wiley-Blackwell, UK.

The Howard College Colloquium on American Citizenship aims to explore the meaning and purpose of citizenship in light of the Western intellectual heritage, American Constitutional government, free market economics and Judeo-Christian ideals.
