An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on of [month], repeating indefinitely

On October 14, 1994, Saguaro National Park was established in Arizona. The park is home to the giant saguaro – the largest cactus in the United States and arguably the most recognizable symbol of the American West.

Truly American, saguaros only grow in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, California, and Mexico, where they can exceed 50 feet tall (!)

Did you know? Saguaros are very slow-growing cacti – the largest specimens are 150-175 years old.
