An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 11 of February, repeating indefinitely

On February 11, 1847, American inventor and businessman Thomas Edison was born in Milan, Ohio. Edison was successful in obtaining a record-breaking 1,093 patents during his lifetime. He most famously invented the first commercially successful light bulb, the phonograph, and the motion picture camera. 💡🎼 🎥

Did you know? Edison was a poor student as a child and never had any higher education, but showed a great aptitude for mechanics. In later years, he didn’t always place much store in the education of potential employees. Instead, he famously tested their knowledge with his own employment quiz, which consisted of 146 questions on a wide variety of topics.
