Lauren Altobelli joined JMC in 2020. She works on the Founding Civics Initiative, JMC’s effort to provide content-based professional development and classroom resources to K-12 civics, history, and government teachers across the country. Lauren manages Founding Civics operations and communications, including JMC’s monthly Educator Newsletter and website. She facilitates Founding Civics program development and execution, organizes events, and works with professors in the JMC network to strengthen K-12 teachers’ understanding of founding documents and ideas.

Lauren attended Villanova University and earned her B.A. and M.A in political science. She focused her studies on the political thought of the American founding.
