Claremont McKenna College: Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Philosophy
The Department of Government at Claremont McKenna College seeks applications for a one-year visiting Assistant Professor position in normative political theory (political philosophy).
The position will begin on July 1, 2022 with a teaching load of five semester courses per year: two or three sections of an introductory course to political theory (depending on demand) and two or three freshman humanities seminars (depending on demand).
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand or expected before the start of academic year 2022-2023.
The department seeks applicants with demonstrated excellence in teaching. Given the College’s commitment to cultivating an inclusive educational environment, it seeks candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring students representing a range of socioeconomic backgrounds, political opinions, genders, races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, and religions.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand or expected before the start of academic year 2022-2023.
