Khalil Habib is an Associate Professor of Politics at Hillsdale College’s Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship. His two main areas of interest are the history of political philosophy (broadly construed) and philosophical literature. He is interested in ancient and modern theories of republicanism and government, and how philosophical writers such as Shakespeare present politics and statesmanship. In addition to editing several books, Professor Habib has contributed to publications including Political Science Reviewer and International Journal of the Humanities.
The Forum for Citizenship and Enterprise at Northwood University was founded in 2009 with a seed grant from the Veritas/JMC. It provides campus and community programming that includes lectures, panels, and debates. For the Fall 2019 semester, the Forum has been holding a speaker series on “America and the World,” which features speakers from around the world to discuss the United States’ role in the world today and in the past.
