Michael James is Professor of Political Science at Bucknell University where he teaches courses on race and ethnicity, constitutional theory and nationalism. He has published articles in Polity and the Journal of Politics and is the author of Deliberative Democracy and the Plural Polity (University Press of Kansas, 2004).
