Constitution Day Events for 2015

The Jack Miller Center Supports Constitution Day 2015

By congressional mandate, colleges receiving federal funds are required to hold an educational program each year on Constitution Day, September 17. These events are excellent opportunities to engage an entire student body in discussion on the Constitution, but many schools lack the resources to mount a substantive program.

Thanks to a lead gift from the Andrea Waitt Carlton Family Foundation, JMC introduced the Constitution Day Initiative in 2011, through which we have supported over 100 programs on campuses across the nation involving leading historians, political scientists and legal scholars (including three US Supreme Court Justices) engaging thousands of students in discussions on constitutional issues from 1787 to the present.
