Elayne, a John Jay fellow for the 2017-18 year, joined the Academic Programs team in October 2017. She graduated from Baylor University in May 2017 with a degree in Political Philosophy and Great Texts. Her undergraduate thesis explored the role of totalitarianism in Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov. She is interested in pursuing a graduate degree and hopes to study the place of religion in modern liberal democracies. Among other things, Elayne helps JMC keep track of its partners’ news and programming.
